Georgia Pallas

I first started fencing in 2009  when I began competing in Modern Pentathlon and I joined Cobham Fencing Club last year.

Highlights of my fencing career include competing both Nationally and representing GB in several international competitions.  I was Surrey U12 Epee champion 2010, 8th in the British Youth Championships Epee 2011 and 5th in the England Youth Championship Epee 2012.  In addition, I was a member of the1st placed team in GB Modern Pentathlon Championship 2011, 2nd placed team in GB Modern Pentathlon Championship 2012 and individually was 2nd in the Scottish Modern Pentathlon Championships 2012.

Due to school commitments, and my GCSEs, my competition career is currently on hold and I am concentrating on coaching. I love to work with aspiring fencers of all ages and help them achieve their sporting goals.

Alexander 'Zani' Wilson

I started fencing in 2003 and continued training and competing until 2012 when I took a two year break during my A levels. Since returning to the sport last year I have been selected to represent Great Britain for U20s at the Eden Cup and I have progressed into the top 40 in the national rankings for senior men’s foil. I have previously won bronze at the British Youth Championships and twice gained silver in the English Youth Championships.

Currently I am on a gap year before University, where I will be studying English Literature at Durham. I have used this time to earn money, travel to South East Asia, write and perform music and begin fencing coaching at Cobham.

I have immensely enjoyed my role as assistant coach, particularly supporting Cobham fencers in competitions (such as the recent BYCs) and learning to give individual lessons in foil.  It is exciting to be a part of the fencers’ development and I anticipate many great results to come!
